South Bend 9" lathe

Model A Cat No: CL 444 Z Bed length: 42" 1/4 hp 115-volt motor

Includes homemade steel and wood belt guard cover and old, heavy,

wooden cabinet (if you want it)

Includes fairly new flat headstock drive belt and an extra new belt.

Lathe has very low usage (est. under 600 hours) and all original

plaques and tags still in place. It has been well maintained, and all

parts operate smoothly. Lead screws and half nuts are all in good

shape. Original paint is oil stained but still in good shape. It was

used in a small printing shop and recently replaced with a bigger

model. These lathes have a powered cross-slide and a complete

quick-change threading gearbox, and are capable of doing very accurate

work.

Two head chucks included:

6" Skinner 4206-51 four-jaw independent chuck with reversible jaws

5" Union Mfg. three-jaw spiral chuck with both inward and outward

facing jaw sets

Included accessories:

58B Jacobs 1/2" headstock chuck with key

Male live center (needs repair, will not turn)

Male dead center

5" backplate

chuck keys

toolpost wrench

tailstock wrench

Complete set of Armstrong Bros. tool holders, including:

boring bar holder

screw thread tool

knurling tool

cutoff tool holder and 1 tool

left-hand, neutral, and right-hand holders for 1/4" tools
